What is goal?
Goal is something you would like to achieve

What is the purpose of having your own goal?
Goals give you direction and keep you focused on your right track.

SMART : SPECIFIC, MEASUREABLE, ATTAINABLE, RELEVANT, TIME-BOUND

Characteristics of goal:

  • self-chosen
  • moderately challenging
  • realistic
  • measureable
  • specific
  • positive

How to set goal for the new semester:

  • Be open to change

In order to set goal to achieve your dream, you need to be open to change yourself. you shouldn’t stick to your oldself attitude. You need to be matured and plan you life carefully. thus, you need to calmly accept the fact you are college student and quickly adapt to the new surrounding.

  • Set priorities for the first three weeks

You will need to set you goal according to the first three weeks after entering the university. There is no such thing you need to plan your goals throughout your whole life. Start slowly.

  • Plan for early success

After setting you goal for the first three weeks, you will need to moderately succesing your goals. Do whatever it takes to make sure your goals reach its own success.

  • Maintain academic honesty

When it comes to honesty, when the lecturer give you an assessment or assignment, please tends to do it yourself. NO PLAGIARISMS. Do not copyright other person work to make your work easier. please take note that lecturer knows whether the assignment is copied from other resource or it is made by your own hands!

  • Plan rewards

If you find yourself hard to cope with your goals and planning, you can convince yourself to complete your goals with rewarding yourself afterwards. You rewards yourself with shopping or food-hunting to satisfied yourself after your goals is achieved.

Nevertheless, another way to set your goal for new semester is:

  • Improve your academic standing
  • Consider consequences
  • Learn how to calculate your gpa
  • Revise your goal periodically

The five step to approach to setting goals:

STEP 1: Write down what you want to accomplish

STEP 2: Write down any obstacles

STEP 3: Write down any recources

STEP 4: List your motivation

STEP 4: Review and revise your tentative goal statement
